Of course the standard of delivery is important. But equally important is how we work with each other and our clients. For that reason, we use a code of conduct, which forms part of our evaluation. Each consultant is asked to:
- Responsibility
-
- Place high value on objectivity and integrity and maintain the highest standards of service
- Competence
-
- Maintain high standards of professional competence
- Recognise the boundaries of their competence and not offer services that fail to meet professional standards
- Help clients obtain help for aspects of projects that fall outside the boundaries of their own competence
- Refrain from undertaking any activity in which their personal problems might lead to poor service to the client.
- Moral and Legal Standards
-
- Show regard for the social codes and moral expectations of the community
- Misrepresentation
-
- Avoid misrepresentation of their own professional qualifications, affiliations, and of dls ltd.
- Confidentiality
-
- Reveal information received in confidence only to appropriate authorities
- Maintain confidentiality or professional communications about individuals
- Inform the client of limits of confidentiality.
- Client Welfare
-
- Define the nature of their loyalties and responsibilities in possible conflicts of interest, such as between the client and dls ltd, and keep all concerned parties informed of the commitments
- Refer to dls to attempt to conclude a consulting relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is not benefiting.
- Professional Relations
-
- Act with integrity toward colleagues in consultation and in other professions.
- Responsibility Toward Organisation
-
- Respect the rights and reputation of the organisation with which they are associated.
