Code of Conduct

Of course the standard of delivery is important. But equally important is how we work with each other and our clients. For that reason, we use a code of conduct, which forms part of our evaluation. Each consultant is asked to:

Responsibility
  • Place high value on objectivity and integrity and maintain the highest standards of service
Competence
  • Maintain high standards of professional competence
  • Recognise the boundaries of their competence and not offer services that fail to meet professional standards
  • Help clients obtain help for aspects of projects that fall outside the boundaries of their own competence
  • Refrain from undertaking any activity in which their personal problems might lead to poor service to the client.
Moral and Legal Standards
  • Show regard for the social codes and moral expectations of the community
Misrepresentation
  • Avoid misrepresentation of their own professional qualifications, affiliations, and of dls ltd.
Confidentiality
  • Reveal information received in confidence only to appropriate authorities
  • Maintain confidentiality or professional communications about individuals
  • Inform the client of limits of confidentiality.
Client Welfare
  • Define the nature of their loyalties and responsibilities in possible conflicts of interest, such as between the client and dls ltd, and keep all concerned parties informed of the commitments
  • Refer to dls to attempt to conclude a consulting relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is not benefiting.
Professional Relations
  • Act with integrity toward colleagues in consultation and in other professions.
Responsibility Toward Organisation
  • Respect the rights and reputation of the organisation with which they are associated.
