Charity BBQ
The Charity BBQ was the event to start them all. It started off being planned as a gathering for us to introduce new staff to the rest of the team and as a general get together.
Then came the bright idea of turning it in to a fund raising event!
Plans were made, prize donations were sent and the date was set for the 4th July 2009. Held in the beautiful gardens of our own MD's home, Angela set about making this the opening event for future fundraising with the help of her very keen office team.
There was so much planned for the day, entertainment for the kids in the form of an educational visit from Safari Sam and her animals, Bingo and an Auction for the adults and a game of Guess the name of the Bear open to all ages.
The day was a success! The sun was out and spirits were high and we managed to raise over £1,000 for the NSPCC. This will be added to our grand total at the end of our fundraising events next year.
